2019 Library and Library Foundation Annual Report

The 2019 joint Library and Library Foundation annual report, “Investing in Impact,” shares how we enrich our community together. Here are just a few examples:

• The Library Foundation celebrated its 50th anniversary, and as part of the celebration we raised over $175,000 for the Next 50 Fund, an endowment intended to fund innovative children’s programs.
• National Book Award-winning author, journalist and graphic novelist Ta-Nehisi Coates spoke at the 42nd annual Marian McFadden Memorial Lecture.
• The Summer Reading Program had its 100th year, and encouraged 46,040 children and families to read over the summer.

We cannot thank our donors and partners enough for their support in 2019, and are even more grateful for your ongoing support in this turbulent time. Let’s look forward to many more years of inspiring reading and lifelong learning together!
