Career and coding skills developed through online workshops

The Library has been expanding its offerings of programming related to career skills, and transitioned much of its technology workshops to a virtual format to be able to continue to offer these programs during the pandemic. Staff at Central Library and East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch has been facilitating computer classes teaching technology skills such as Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Additionally, in lieu of set Career Center hours in the computer lab, Library staff members have been helping patrons with career questions as needed at the desk.

Career Center is made possible by the Office of Lawrence Township Trustee Steve Talley and technology workshops are made possible by Comcast Heartland Region, as well as other Friends of the Library.
