Meet the Artists features Black Lives Matter mural artists

The annual Meet the Artists exhibit is currently on display at Central Library, with additional exhibits at the East 38th Street, Beech Grove and West Indianapolis branches. This display is dedicated to local Black artists, with this year’s spotlight on “The Eighteen,” a collective of 18 Black visual artists who painted Indianapolis’ Black Lives Matter street mural on Indiana Avenue in 2020. The display will run through Saturday, April 2, culminating in a gala reception from 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm on April 2. You can learn more at indypl.org/blog/for-adults/meet-the-artists.
